Tim Louis Calls on Federal Government to Safeguard Remaining 9,000 Acres of Pickering Lands

Tim Louis, Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Conestoga, and The Honourable Robert Black, Senator for Ontario, have sent a joint letter to key federal ministers, urging the Government of Canada to take immediate action to preserve the remaining 9,000 acres of Federal Pickering Lands.

These lands, which were expropriated in 1972 as part of an 18,600-acre airport project, have been left in limbo for over 50 years, and now face significant threats due to development pressures.
